Philly Phun Mix 2-Double OH!-9

You'll probably miss me a lot this weekend, so I scheduled this post to hold you over.  Please enjoy (looking at, not actually listening to) this mix of songs that Dora and I will be jamming to all weekend.  This is just a random compilation of some of our favorite songs.  Some consider this a follow-up album to our all-time classics mix, FITS 2-Double OH!-2.
  1. Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun
  2. Ani DeFranco - Buildings and Bridges
  3. Indigo Girls - Closer to Fine
  4. Phish - Farmhouse
  5. Otis Redding - The Happy Song
  6. Sarah Harmer - I Am Aglow
  7. Taj Mahal - Lovin' In My Baby's Eyes
  8. Beatles - Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
  9. Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up
  10. Oysterhead - Mr. Oysterhead
  11. G. Love and The Special Sauce - My Baby's Got Sauce
  12. Blind Melon - No Rain
  13. Bob Dylan - On A Night Like This
  14. Grateful Dead - Scarlet Begonias
  15. Sublime - Scarlet Begonias
  16. Ben Harper - Sexual Healing
  17. Talking Heads - Naive Melody
  18. Old Crow Medicine Show - Wagon Wheel
  19. Widespread Panic - The Waker

PS - The first two people to comment get an autographed copy of Philly Phun mix.  (Except Chocolate, who can't play, because I'm not mailing that shit to Albania, Boo.)  I would have made it the first five, but usually only one or two people comment anyway.  It's actually just a matter of who besides Cat is getting one.

  3. Damn, missed the prize. Here's my claim to fame, though, I grew up with Glenn Graham from Blind Melon. His sister (Georgia, the bee girl) and my sister were very good friends. We used to follow his local band, Cafe Du Monde, that played around town and at some of the frat houses at state until he left and hit the big time.

  4. do you remember that time you made me listen to "lovin' in my baby's eyes" for like 4 hours while studying in the anthro department?

ok, you know how we tend to overdo stuff? maybe it wasn't four hours, maybe it was just like 3 times...

  5. I remember the good ol' days when you would give me CDs without making me compete in a contest (or perhaps I was, unwittingly, and kept winning!)

And apparently Cat and I are peers in some sense. I, too, was at many Cafe Du Monde shows in Starkvegas. I wonder if we were ever acquainted?
